Red Ribbons

Clarkia concinna
Red Ribbons (Clarkia concinna) is an annual forb native to Western US states (such as California) that can thrive in USDA Zones 7–10 as a spring annual. Reaching a mature height of 1–2 feet with a slender, erect branching growth habit, it features oval green leaves and produces unique, deep bright pink to magenta flowers with deeply three-lobed, ribbon-like petals. It thrives in loose, well-drained soils in coast redwood forests, foothill oak woodlands, and shady slopes in partial shade to full sun and is ideal for shady slope revegetation, woodland edge habitat restoration, and native bee support.
