Sorghum Bicolor

Nutrimaxx Forage Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) is an annual grass native to central and southern US states (such as Texas, Kansas, and Colorado) and has also been successfully introduced across North America as a non-invasive forage hybrid that can thrive in USDA Zones 4–11 as a warm-season annual. Reaching a mature height of 6–10 feet with an upright robust growth habit, it features leafy green stalks and produces grain-bearing seed panicles. It thrives in warm, well-drained soils and is ideal for high-energy silage, livestock rotational grazing, and soil organic matter building.
