Monaco Bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon) is a perennial grass native to southern US states (such as Texas, Georgia, and Florida) and has also been successfully introduced across North America as a non-invasive turfgrass cultivar that can thrive in USDA Zones 7–11. Reaching a mature height of 4–8 inches with a creeping, stoloniferous and rhizomatous growth habit, it features fine-textured, dark green leaves and produces digitately clustered seed spikes. It thrives in dry to moist soils in full sun and is ideal for commercial turf management, athletic field turf, and erosion control.
Monaco is a superior seeded bermudagrass that is excellent for use on golf courses, sports turf and higher quality lawns. It has excellent density and wear tolerance. Bread for a genetically darker green color, it also has quicker spring green-up, high fall color retention and winter hardiness. Monaco bermudagrass will make a great addition to your landscape!
