Lupine, Perennial

Lupinus perennis

Maiden Pink (Dianthus deltoides) is a perennial forb native to northeastern US states (such as Maine and Vermont) and has also been successfully introduced across North America as a non-invasive flowering ground cover that can thrive in USDA Zones 3–9. Reaching a mature height of 6–12 inches with a dense, creeping, mat-forming growth habit, it features narrow, dark green, grass-like leaves and produces vibrant magenta-pink flowers with serrated petal edges. It thrives in well-drained, sandy or gravelly soils in full sun and is ideal for slope ground stabilization, roadside plantings, and early pollinator forage.
