Low Sagebrush (Artemisia arbuscula) is a perennial evergreen subshrub native to Western US states (such as Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming) that can thrive in USDA Zones 3–7. Reaching a mature height of 6–18 inches with a low, gnarled, spreading dwarf growth habit, it features aromatic, three-lobed, silvery-gray woolly leaves and produces small yellowish flower heads. It thrives in dry, shallow, rocky, or clay soils in exposed high plains and mountains and is ideal for severe drought rangeland restoration, rocky slope protection, and sage-grouse habitat enhancement.
This is a perennial grass that reaches heights of about 1 to 3 feet. It is drought-tolerant and is used for erosion control and revegetation projects. This grass prefers full sun and is commonly found in desert habitats and dry open spaces.
