Imbricate Phacelia

Phacelia imbricata
Imbricate Phacelia (Phacelia imbricata) is a perennial forb native to Western US states (such as California, Oregon, and Nevada) that can thrive in USDA Zones 7–10. Reaching a mature height of 1–2.5 feet with a tufted, upright to ascending growth habit, it features deeply pinnate, grayish-green, hairy foliage and produces dense, coiled caterpillar-like spikes of white to pale lavender bell-shaped flowers. It thrives in dry, rocky slopes, chaparral, and gravelly washes in full sun to light shade and is ideal for rocky slope erosion control, dryland revegetation, and native bee conservation.
