Symphyotrichum ericoides
Heath Aster (Symphyotrichum ericoides) is a perennial forb native to Central and Eastern US states (such as South Dakota, Nebraska, Illinois, and Pennsylvania) that can thrive in USDA Zones 3–9. Reaching a mature height of 1–3 feet with a bushy, highly branched growth habit, it features tiny, heath-like green leaves and produces abundant small white daisy-like flower heads with yellow centers. It thrives in dry, rocky, or sandy prairies, pastures, and roadsides and is ideal for prairie restoration, slope stabilization, and late-season pollinator support.
