Forage Radish

Raphanus sativus
Forage Radish (Raphanus sativus) is an annual forb native to midwestern US states (such as Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin) and has also been successfully introduced across North America as a non-invasive cover crop that can thrive in USDA Zones 3–11 as a cool-season annual. Reaching a mature height of 1–2 feet above ground with a large, thick taproot, it features coarse, deeply lobed green leaves and produces light pink to white flowers. It thrives in compacted agricultural soils and is ideal for bio-tillage soil decompaction, nutrient recycling, and cover crop biomass.
